Each spoon rests began as a 1/2 lb ball of clay. It was then flattened into a slab and imprinted with a round dish to create a uniform indentation with a organic rim dicted by the shape of the flattened ball. A spout was then created to allow your spoon to rest comfortably.
These dishes each measure approximately 5 1/2" in diameter and approximately 3/4" in height.

This piece was made by hand in Houston, TX and fired in an electric kiln to over 2200°F.
It is finished with food-safe glaze and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
We recommend using a coaster under vases and pieces with unglazed bottoms when filled with liquid to protect wood surfaces from condensation.
