Mini Bowls - ShadowCollection
A sweet, tiny, footed bowl that can help out in a pinch to hold salt, reheat a small amount of food, or simply contain tiny belongings. Each little bowl is thrown off of a large lump of clay ("off the hump") and then trimmed on the potter’s wheel to create a foot ring.
Each bowl's interior if fully glazed with a semi-matte translucent white glaze that is applied over a single dip of white underglaze. The exterior of the bowl has raw brown clay, with exposed white underglaze that flashes a pink hue where it meets the interior glaze.
Each bowl has between 3.75 - 4.25 inch diameter and is between 1.75 - 2.25" high.
Stoneware Information & Care
This piece was made by hand in Houston, TX and fired in an electric kiln to over 2200°F.
It is finished with food-safe glaze and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
We recommend using a coaster under vases and pieces with unglazed bottoms when filled with liquid to protect wood surfaces from condensation.
Handmade
**Each piece from OCTceramics began as a lump or slab of clay, and through an 11+ step process of shaping, drying, firing (twice!), and glazing, it became a one-of-a-kind object. There may be variations in shape, size, glaze, finish, and color -- but these are what make it special and remind you that this item was 100% made by hand.**
